'It's eye of a needle stuff'
Charlie Adam acknowledges that his reputation as a set-piece expert does not guarantee him priority at deadball situations at Liverpool.
The Scot recognises that Kenny Dalglish's squad has a wealth of talent capable of delivering at free-kicks, penalties and spot-kicks - and is more than happy to share the responsibility if it helps the Reds to win games.
"We've got lots of top players who can put the ball through the eye of a needle," said Adam in an exclusive interview with LFC magazine this week. "It's who's confident on the day.
"It's just important that we make the most of any (set-pieces) we get because they can often be the difference between winning and losing, especially in tight games.
"Hopefully we can score a lot of goals from them over the season. That can only help us to do better."
Adam has been a regular in the Liverpool starting line-up since joining from Blackpool.
However, he refuses to rest on his laurels and points to the calibre of his teammates as reason to remain on his toes.

"There are top international players in every position here," he said. "It means you know you have a battle just to get your place. As a footballer that's what you want, big challenges and hopefully I can keep challenging for a place.
"When you get a chance to come to a club like this it's the reward for all the years of hard work you've put in. Then when you get here you can't rest on your laurels. I don't want to just be here. I want to continue working hard, stay in the team and perform as well as I can."
Superb interviews with Charlie Adam, Jose Enrique, Craig Bellamy and John Bishop are in this week's LFC magazine.
