Coady and co spread Xmas joy
Liverpool Reserves paid a special visit to Alder Hey Hospital to spread some festive cheer to kids in time for Christmas.
Following hot on the heels of Luis Suarez and the first team squad last week, Andre Wisdom led Rodolfo Borrell's charges on to the wards accompanied by a sackful of presents.
The second-string's skipper joined Conor Coady, Raheem Sterling and co as they talked to the children and gave them some wonderful LFC gifts.
Director of Academy and Player Development Frank McParland said: "All of the boys and staff have been absolutely fantastic and I am very pleased and proud of them.
"What we are trying to do with the young players is give them different experiences. They are representing the best club in the world so it's important they represent us properly.
"The lads mixed in with the kids and the parents as well, so they showed that they are good kids as well as good footballers.
"We would like to visit here more and it would be nice to do an end of season visit as well, so we are going to speak to the staff here.
"The staff at Alder Hey are absolutely fantastic and we all recognise just what a wonderful job they all do."
Wisdom added: "It is great for us to come down here and show our respect to the kids here at Alder Hey.
"It was a very moving experience and it was so important to be here. It's very positive for the club to do our bit and give as much help as we can."
Christine Done, Head of Fundraising at Alder Hey, said: "We would like to say a big thank you to Liverpool Football Club for bringing their first-team and reserve team to visit the children.
"It's the first time the reserves have been here and they have all been absolutely brilliant.
"For such young lads to come and visit the poorly children they were fantastic and they are a real credit to Liverpool Football Club.
"They showed a genuine sensitivity and took a genuine interest in the children and their families.
"We are very grateful for the support of the club."
