Jordan Henderson believes last week's magical triumphs over both sets of Manchester rivals at Anfield proved to the Reds supporters that the players are fully committed to bringing the glory days back to Anfield.

Kenny Dalglish vented his frustration after a 3-1 defeat against Bolton and while Henderson and his teammates were well aware they had under-performed, he feels the manager's strong words had the desired effect in motivating them for two massive cup ties.

"To get through to a final is a massive achievement for us, so that was brilliant and obviously progressing into the next round of the cup and beating United was another good positive for us," said Henderson.

"We're always confident going into any game. We've got some good players here and we know that if we perform to the best of our ability we can beat anyone.

"We were all disappointed about the Bolton game and I think the criticism was fair but I think the most positive thing was that we bounced back against City and then United. I think we've shown the fans that we do care and everybody else that's watching.

"I think everyone knew anyway that it was a bad game for us - we didn't turn up, we didn't perform like we know that we can. The next day we analysed what went wrong and then put it to bed and moved on. We trained hard leading up to the City game and we knew we had to do something, so I'm sure that everyone's pleased about the way in which we bounced back."

But Henderson knows that Liverpool can't dwell on what they have achieved over the last week, especially as the club heads into a difficult period, packed full of high-profile encounters.

A run of fixtures that includes games against Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton and Manchester United, not forgetting a trip to Wembley in the middle, starts with a tricky trip to Molineux tonight.

"Wolves will be another test for us, we've done well against City and United - two big teams and now we've got a tough game against them," said Henderson.

"They're a tough team to play, as they've shown over a few years now, so it'll be another tough game, another tough test for us so we'll make sure that we approach the game right and just keep working hard and keep doing what we've been doing.

"I don't think there's added pressure. I think we've just got to approach the game like we would any other game. It doesn't really matter who it is, we've just got to mentally prepare for the game and I'm sure everyone will be ready for it.

"They'll definitely make it difficult for us. They've got some good players, so like I said, we've just got to go there with the right attitude and I'm sure that if we play our best and work hard then there'll be no problem.

"We've just got to approach it like it's any other game and it's another big test for us."
