The view from Loftus Road
QPR fan Terry Arnold provides the view from Loftus Road ahead of our visit tonight.
How are QPR fans feeling about our visit?
This is the type of game we were looking forward to during pre-season. This far in, with what we've spent, we would have hoped to be able to enjoy it with no pressure, but instead we've got a tough run-in starting on Wednesday.
What's going wrong for you at the moment?
It takes time to make eight or nine players gel, and unfortunately time is something we haven't got. We will see in May if it was right to get rid of Neil Warnock but the owners have been brilliant for us and my personal opinion is we've got the right man in Mark Hughes.
Will you stay up?
Until it's impossible we have to keep fighting. Djibril Cisse was back after suspension against Bolton and scored. Hopefully he might nick one against his old club on Wednesday! If him and Bobby Zamora play together for the remainder of the season we've got a fighting chance. We're in a mini league of five that could go down and we've just got to ensure we finish in the the top two!
Joey Barton - discuss...
Barton in my opinion is being made a scapegoat for a poor season, Twitter or no Twitter. We've had it before at Rangers. Steve Palmer (former captain) years ago was constantly moaned about and then when we got promoted to the Championship he was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I don't take any notice of it. He's expected to score 15/20 goals a season by some people at our place but he's not that type of player. I don't see the point of getting on his back; if he's not playing well, it's not going to make him play any better, is it?
Player we should worry about?
Cisse has looked the business since he's joined. It's the service he's receiving that's the problem. Adel Taarabt is starting to come into his own again as well. These two might well dictate if we stay up or not.
Who do you rate on our side?
There's a couple but I think it's got to be Steven Gerrard. He really is different class. The left-footed finish against Everton was exceptional, he's got to be one of the most naturally talented players this country has produced and it'll be a pleasure to have him at our place on Wednesday.
One song we're bound to hear?
He's just too good for you, he's just too good for you, he's just too good for you (repeat to fade) for Adel Taarabt.
Best and worst thing about a trip to QPR?
Best: at least you know you're coming to a team in West London with a bit of soul rather than the libraries commonly known as Stamford Bridge and Craven Cottage. Worst: be prepared for the tube, mid-week on a Wednesday, it should be delightfully packed with all of the shoppers going to Westfield as well as fans going to the game.
Best and worst thing about being a QPR fan?
Best: there's never any shortage of drama and excitement, and we are definitely a club going in the right direction with the owners. If we stay up, I think we can really push on as we've got big plans for a new stadium and training ground. Worst: definitely isn't one.
Prediction?
I'd be happy with a draw but we really need a win, I'll go for 0-0. Should be a good game but knowing our luck Carroll will score a hat-trick.
