LFC statistician Ged Rea provides all the stats and facts ahead of our Tuesday night clash in Blackburn.

Overall league record: Liverpool 53 wins, Blackburn 35 wins, draws 39.
At Blackburn: Liverpool 15 wins, Blackburn 26 wins, draws 22.

Last Boxing Day the sides drew 1-1 at Anfield. Charlie Adam scored an own goal on the stroke of half-time with Maxi equalising on 53 minutes in his 50th league appearance.

The last meeting at Ewood 15 months ago saw the Reds lose 3-1. It proved to be Roy Hodgson's last game in charge of Liverpool as Rovers found themselves 3-0 up before the hour mark - Martin Olsson and Benjani (2) scoring. Steven Gerrard scored a consolation with less than 10 minutes to go but missed a penalty five minutes later.

In the 17 Premier League meetings at Ewood Park Liverpool have won five, drawn six and lost six.

Home and away since the inception of the Premier League Liverpool have won 16 of the 35 meetings, with Rovers winning seven.

Liverpool's biggest win at Blackburn came in February 1966 when they won 4-1. That is the only time the Reds have scored more than three in a league game at Rovers.

Their heaviest defeat was suffered in September 1913 when they were beaten 6-2.

Their last win on this ground came in December 2008 when Xabi Alonso, Yossi Benayoun and Gerrard scored in a 3-1 win. It was goalless with 21 minutes of the game remaining. Only four of the Reds' starting XI that day are still at Anfield - Gerrard, Pepe Reina, Jamie Carragher and Dirk Kuyt, plus substitutes Daniel Agger and Lucas.

The last player to score a hat-trick in the fixture was Billy Liddell, who scored three for the Reds in a 3-3 draw in February 1958. He is one of only two men to achieve the feat following Dick Forshaw in 1923. Ian Rush netted three in an away League Cup tie in 1994.

The Reds have lost only twice in the last 26 league meetings home and away - in 2006 and last season - both at Ewood.

Liverpool have kept three clean sheets in the last 26 visits since 1946 with all of them coming in the last six Ewood clashes.

After one goalless draw at Ewood Park in 63 years there have now been two in the last four seasons.

Craig Bellamy joined Liverpool first time around in the summer of 2006 for £6.5 million. He scored 17 goals for Rovers in 32 appearances in all competitions in his only season with the Lancashire club (2005-06).

Jonjo Shelvey made his league debut for Liverpool as a substitute in last season's 2-1 win over Rovers at Anfield.

A year ago this week Andy Carroll scored his first Liverpool goals in a 3-0 home win over Manchester City. This will be his 50th appearance for the Reds if selected.

Maxi's last goal for the club came against Rovers in that 1-1 draw at Anfield on Boxing Day.

Agger's last league goal for Liverpool came against Blackburn in April 2009 with the Reds winning 4-0.

Gerrard's next goal will be his 150th for Liverpool.

The Reds have lost their last four away games since winning at Wolves in January.

They have kept one clean sheet in the last 11 fixtures - against Everton last month.

Blackburn Rovers were bottom of the Premier League on Christmas Day. They had 10 points from 17 games. The only basement side at that stage of the 19 previous PL seasons to stay up was West Bromwich Albion in 2004-05.

They are looking to record successive home league wins over Liverpool for the first time since 1994-95 (when they won three in a row).

Only three players have been sent off in Premier League meetings between the teams - all Rovers players. Henning Berg (1995) and Zurab Khizanishvili (2005) at Anfield and Lucas Neill at Ewood in 2003.

Danny Shea was the last Rovers player to score a hat-trick against the Reds - he scored four times in the 6-2 win in 1913.

Rovers have scored 13 times in the last 12 home games with Liverpool in the Premiership.

They have lost their last three league games (Bolton away, Manchester United home and West Brom away).

The last time they suffered four successive Premier League defeats was in December 2008 on the way to losing six in a row - one of those was against Liverpool at Ewood.

Rovers have failed to score in only seven of their 32 league games - only the Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal have failed to hit the net in fewer.

They have scored 43 goals this season in the top-flight - six more than Liverpool.

Rovers have shipped 67 goals this season and went into the Bank Holiday fixtures with only bottom club Wolves conceding more.

They have kept just one clean sheet at Ewood Park in 19 games in all competitions - against Sunderland last month. Their first league clean sheet this season came at Wolves on 10th March.

Since Christmas they have picked up 18 points out of a possible 45, after winning just 10 points from the opening 17 games.

A draw here will take them out of the bottom three.

They have lost 10 of their 16 games at home, winning five (they have beaten Arsenal, Swansea, Fulham, QPR and Sunderland).

Yakubu has scored 14 goals in 23 league starts for Rovers but has scored only once in his last seven.

Junior Hoilett has scored three goals in the last five games.
