Bill Shankly's Liverpool produced an exhibition display of total football as they demolished Newcastle United to win the 1974 FA Cup final.

The broad smile on the face of skipper Emlyn Hughes when he lifted the trophy was one of the iconic pictures of the 70s.

After Alec Lindsay had controversially had a goal disallowed, Kevin Keegan fired Shankly's team in front.

Steve Heighway then made it 2-0 and the third goal was pure pass and move at it's best. Keegan scored it and David Coleman's commentary from the day has gone down in legendary status.
