Luis Suarez today revealed his delight after netting his first treble for the Reds during the 3-0 win at Norwich.

Liverpool's No.7 was a constant menace to the Canaries defence and hit three outstanding goals - the third of which will surely be a contender for goal of the season.

While delighted to get his first treble in red colours, the Uruguayan international was quick to pay tribute to his teammates.

"It was very special to get my first hat-trick for Liverpool but more important that the team won," said Suarez.

"It was a nice feeling to celebrate with the Liverpool fans and the team played very well.

"I was grateful to Stevie for the first goal when he gave me the pass and it set us on the way to get the three points."

The goal that sealed the hat-trick was a special strike when, in an instant after deceiving the defender and spotting John Ruddy off his line, he sent a perfect lob from over 40-yards out into the net.

Asked whether it was the best goal he had ever scored, Suarez added: "I don't know. It was a nice goal, a great goal but I think I've scored some other good goals as well.

"It's something I like to try. I saw the goalkeeper off his line and fortunately for me the ball went into the net and I was so happy."
