Continuing our FA Cup final memories feature ahead of Saturday's Wembley showdown with Chelsea, we take a look back at the incredibly emotional 1989 final v Everton.

Kenny Dalglish's charges made an explosive start to the final taking an early lead through John Aldridge - the Kop favourite's first ever goal in a red shirt against the Blues.

Stuart McCall equalised in stoppage time to force extra-time and that was to be even more dramatic.

Rush, on as a sub for Aldridge, made it 2-1 before McCall equalised for a second time with a blistering volley.

However, the Reds weren't to be denied and Everton's most feared opponent won the cup for the Reds with a neat header beyond the reach of Neville Southall.
