Jose Enrique is determined to play his part in today's FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley having acquired a taste for silverware earlier in the season.

The Spaniard was on the bench for the Reds' semi-final win over Everton in April on a day when Daniel Agger was the manager's choice at left-back.

However, Enrique did feature when the Reds beat Cardiff at the national stadium in February to secure their first trophy in six years and the full-back is committed to making it another memorable day when the Reds line-up against Chelsea in the capital this evening.

"I got to play in the Carling Cup final and I really hope I start against Chelsea," Enrique told the Liverpool Echo. "It was disappointing to miss the semi-final. Wembley is an amazing place to play. But it's the manager’s decision.

"I've been in the team in recent weeks and I want to stay there.

"I feel like I’ve improved this season and I want to help the team finish with two trophies."
