Luis Suarez was today crowned as the Standard Chartered Player of the Month for April.

It was a month that saw our No.7 fire his first hat-trick in a red shirt during the 3-0 win at Norwich City, with the goal to seal the treble living long in the memory.

He also netted the crucial equaliser in the FA Cup semi-final against Everton and ran the Blues ragged up front with Andy Carroll, and in total netted six goals during April.

The Uruguyan ace picked up 64 per cent of the total votes cast on this website.

Andy Carroll collected 13 per cent to finish second, while Daniel Agger was third (five per cent).
