After the conclusion of the Premier League's 20th season, Liverpoolfc.tv is asking fans to name the players that would make up their dream team of the last two decades.

Today it's the turn of the defenders - and we want you to decide who has been our best right-back of the last 20 years.

Here are the contenders:

Markus Babbel (42 league apps 2000-04)

Gerard Houllier beat off stiff competition to land experienced German international Markus Babbel on a free transfer from Bayern Munich in 2000. The defender's marauding runs down the right wing were a regular sight in the 2001 treble-winning success, and Babbel also had a penchant for netting an important goal.

Steve Finnan (154 league apps 2003-08)

Mr Consistency was signed from Fulham by Houllier in 2003, but it was under Rafael Benitez's tenure he really began to flourish. He played in 99 of Liverpool's 114 Premier League matches between August 2004 and May 2007.

Alvaro Arbeloa (66 league apps 2007-09)

Benitez moved to snap up Alvaro Arbeloa in the January transfer window of 2007. Tough in the tackle, consistent and a threat in attack, Alvaro was a favourite on the Kop.

Rob Jones (183 league apps 1991-99)

Had it not been for injuries, many believe Rob Jones could have been one of the greatest defenders England has ever produced. As it was, Jones was a fine full-back for Liverpool, though niggling problems cut short his promising career.

Vegard Heggem (54 league apps 1998-2003)

Vegard Heggem holds the distinction of being the only player signed by Liverpool during Roy Evans and Houllier's spell as joint managers. The Norwegian was an energetic full-back who loved to attack, but his career was disrupted by injuries.

Glen Johnson (76 league apps 2009 - )

Benitez moved to sign England regular Glen Johnson from Portsmouth in order to add a different attacking dimension to his team - and the full-back began his Liverpool career with a bang, netting twice in his first four league games. Johnson is widely regarded as the country's finest full-back.
