After being cruelly denied a returning goal against Birmingham City with a scissor kick ruled out for off-side, Robbie Fowler scored the first goal of his Anfield return and appropriately Fulham were the opposition.

'God' had sprung onto the LFC scene netting his first ever goal in a red shirt against Fulham back in 1993, and the second coming saw him open the scoring at the Anfield Road end.

Despite Collins John equalising, a rampant Liverpool were in the mood for goals.

An own goal from Michael Brown made it 2-1 and Fernando Morientes made the game safe with a third on 70 minutes. Peter Crouch and Stephen Warnock then fired last minute goals to make it 5-1.
