'Craig is a big part of my plans'
Wales boss Chris Coleman remains hopeful he will be able to call on the services of Craig Bellamy for the 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.
Liverpool's No.39 is with the Welsh squad in the USA for Sunday's friendly with Mexico, and Coleman insists he can play a big part in helping his country try and reach the prestigious finals in Brazil.
"I always thought Craig would play in the World Cup qualifying campaign because I've had various conversations with him and they have always been positive," said Coleman.
"Craig knows he is a big part of our plans. And if we are to do anything in this qualifying campaign then we have a better chance with Craig being part of it.
"People tend to forget Craig is 32 and has won almost 70 caps. You don't get those if you don't turn up so I expected him here."
