The 215th Merseyside Derby was the perfect setting for the return of an icon to the fields where he cemented his name in footballing history.

Kenny Dalglish had marched along the Old Trafford touchline, arms raised in that trademark fashion to frenzied applause from the 9,000-strong travelling contingent a week earlier. And on January 16, the King returned to Anfield.

On 29 minutes, Glen Johnson whipped a pinpoint cross towards the back-post, where Kuyt headed the ball goalwards, Howard saved before the Dutchman tried his luck again this time with a thumping effort but the Everton 'keeper pushed the ball out as far as Raul Meireles.

He made no mistake to clinch his first-ever Liverpool goal with an effort from range. A rejuvenated Everton flew out of the blocks in the second half and goals from Sylvain Distin and Jermaine Beckford turned the game on its head.

Tim Howard felled Maxi Rodriguez and Dirk Kuyt stepped up to clinch a point for Liverpool.

Each weeknight during the summer we'll reveal four more from our countdown from 6pm BST on LFC TV. 11-minute highlights will then be available on LFC TV Online the following morning. LFC TV is available FREE to view on SKY channel 434 and Virgin channel 544 (as part of the XL pack).
