Most Exciting PL Games: 19
Entering the countdown at 19 in LFC's 100 Most Exciting Games is a memorable day for Peter Crouch.
LFC's Most Exciting PL Games No.19: March 31, 2007. Liverpool 4-1 Arsenal.
Peter Crouch was unplayable as he fired a magnificent hat-trick to sink the Gunners at Anfield.
The popular striker netted a perfect treble with three top drawer finishes.
After two painful cup defeats at Anfield at the hands of Arsene Wenger's side a few months earlier, Rafa's Reds roared back to gain sweet revenge.
Alvaro Arbeloa provided the assist for the opener when his cross was turned in by Crouch, and the big man headed home the second after a superb pinpoint cross from Fabio Aurelio.
Daniel Agger then made it 3-0 before William Gallas notched a consolation.
Crouch was to have the final word though, when he sealed his first treble in style at the Kop end, turning Kolo Toure inside out, before finishing.
After the game, a gracious Wenger said of Crouch's display: "He was superb. Everything he did was intelligent.
"He has the size of a basketball player but the skill of a real football player. If you had put a real basketball player in, Kolo and Gallas would have had no problem."
Each weeknight during the summer we'll reveal four more from our countdown from 6pm BST on LFC TV. 11-minute highlights will then be available on LFC TV Online the following morning. LFC TV is available FREE to view on SKY channel 434 and Virgin channel 544 (as part of the XL pack).
