Most Exciting PL Games: 9
A dramatic comeback at Man City enters the countdown at No.9 of LFC's 100 Most Exciting PL Games.
LFC's Most Exciting PL Games No.9: October 5, 2008. Man City 2-3 Liverpool.
Liverpool came from 2-0 down to beat Manchester City at Eastlands and at the same time record a special Premier League milestone.
City went 2-0 up in the opening 45 minutes through Stephen Ireland and Javier Garrido, but Rafa's Reds responded brilliantly after the break.
Fernando Torres made it 2-1 and in doing so recorded Liverpool's 1,000th Premier League goal. And when Pablo Zabaleta was sent-off for a challenge on Xabi Alonso, the Reds believed a comeback was definitely on the cards.
El Nino netted again to make it 2-2 and become Liverpool's highest scoring foreign player in the Premier League before Dirk Kuyt sealed a dramatic victory in stoppage time from close range.
The only sour note of the day was Martin Skrtel being stretchered off with a serious injury.
Each weeknight during the summer we'll reveal four more from our countdown from 6pm BST on LFC TV. 11-minute highlights will then be available on LFC TV Online the following morning. LFC TV is available FREE to view on SKY channel 434 and Virgin channel 544 (as part of the XL pack).
