Day one of the UEFA U19 Championship was a mixed bag for Liverpool's three representatives, with Suso helping Spain to victory but our England duo having to settle for a draw.

Holders Spain took the first step to defending their crown with a 2-1 victory over Greece in Group A. Suso played the entire 90 minutes.

Conor Coady began England's match with Croatia, later being replaced by Reds teammate Jack Robinson on 64 minutes, but Noel Blake's side could only manage a 1-1 tie and have work to do in Group B.

The second round of fixtures takes place on Friday, July 6, when England take on Serbia and Spain clash with Iberian neighbours Portugal.
