There were mixed emotions for three of Liverpool's Academy starlets tonight as Suso's Spain sealed a place in the UEFA U19 Championship but Jack Robinson and Conor Coady crashed out of the tournament with England.

The Young Lions lost 2-1 to Greece after extra-time in the semi-final. Robinson played the full game while Coady was an unused substitute.

Mavroudis Bougaidis gave Greece a 38th minute lead but they were then reduced to 10 men when goalkeeper Stefanos Kapino was sent-off, but Saido Berahino blazed the resulting spot kick over the bar.

England got level when Benik Afobe made it 1-1 but the winner came in the 108th minute when Charalambos Lykogiannis netted with a superb lob.

Meanwhile, Suso and his teammates secured a place in the final of the tournament in dramatic fashion after a penalty shoot-out against France.

The Liverpool man was substituted in the 55th minute of normal time as the Spanish trailed 1-0.

La Rojita staged a comeback to take a 2-1 lead; however, deep into injury time at the end of the second half, French centre-back Samuel Umtiti grabbed an equaliser to guarantee extra-time.

Gerard Deulofeu put the Spanish back into the lead with eight minutes of extra-time remaining but France summoned another late leveller to take the game to penalties.

Spain fell behind in the shoot-out but when Umtiti saw his penalty saved, the Spanish grew in confidence and Deulofeu smashed home the winner to seal a final clash against Greece on Sunday.
