Liverpool FC has showed its support to the Brazilica Festival 2012 which is being held in the city starting today, and running over the weekend.

As part of the backing by the club, the LFC Action for Health Programme will provide health trainers at the Brazilica Soccerzone on Saturday 14 July. They will be there throughout the afternoon providing essential information and advice to members of the public.

LFC's very own Brazilian, Lucas Leiva, has also shown his support by donating a signed Reds shirt to be won at The Soccerzone in support of Brazilica 2012.

The Soccerzone will be situated right in the heart of the City at Clayton Square and will play host to some amazing football talents throughout the day.

No matter what your skill level, it is an opportunity to get involved in Brazilica 2012. The zone will play host to a number of events including Futsal, a Brazilian-style soccer coaching sessions for kids, freestyle soccer competitions and a family penalty shoot-out.

Mark Haig, Liverpool FC Action for Health Programme Consultant said: "LFC Foundation is supporting Brazilica 2012 with an emphasis on promoting men's health. The LFC PSS Health Trainers will be on hand to give advice.

"Events like Brazilica are great way for us to meet people. We are harnessing the power of football and the opportunities presented by Brazilica to encourage people to make small but significant lifestyle changes that can have big health benefits."
