The Liverpool squad last night took a first look at the venue that will host their clash with AS Roma on Wednesday as they took in a Red Sox baseball game at Fenway Park.

The entire travelling party visited the ballpark, which is celebrating its 100th birthday this year, to watch the game against the Chicago White Sox, with Brendan Rodgers and half of the squad invited into the locker room to swap shirts and meet the home players just minutes before the first pitch was thrown.

Liverpool's visit clearly turned out to be a lucky one as the Red Sox produced an amazing comeback to overturn a 1-nil deficit with just minutes remaining and win the game 3-1 on the night.
