Craig Bellamy was in inspirational form as he set up two goals during Team GB's 3-1 win over the United Arab Emirates at Wembley.

After netting during the opening 1-1 draw with Senegal, Liverpool's No.39 was again in the thick of the action for Stuart Pearce's side at the Olympic Games.

He set up the first goal with a measured cross from the left flank which Ryan Giggs met to head home.

Another mesmerising run from the Welsh international on the left wing almost produced another goal but after he superbly found Tom Cleverley, the Manchester United man was unlucky to see his shot come back off both posts and stay out.

Although the UAE equalised, Bellamy's teasing run down the right saw his cross fumbled by the goalkeeper and substitute Scott Sinclair made it 2-1.

Daniel Sturridge then added another goal with a sublime chip.

Bellamy was also handed the captain's armband for the final 18 minutes when Giggs was replaced by Sinclair, before the Reds ace was given a breather himself when he left the Wembley field to a standing ovation after 82 minutes.

Team GB now need just a point from their final group game with Luis Suarez's Uruguay on Wednesday to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Olympic Games.
