Rodgers: What I'm looking for
Brendan Rodgers has given an insight into the type of player he wants to bring to Liverpool.
The boss has spoken publicly about his desire to secure further additions to his squad before the transfer window closes, and in his programme notes for Thursday's match against Gomel he revealed what he and his scouts were looking for.
"Because of my methods, I need a certain profile of player," said Rodgers.
"Technically the player needs to be strong, have the tactical capacity to participate and learn the game, have the physical attributes to perform in a high-intensity pressing game, and the mentality and hunger to perform every day.
"The qualities won't be here right from the start but I will work towards this vision.
"My focus will be unswerving to implement the philosophy throughout the club."
