Liverpool's official partners Chevrolet made a donation of $15,000 to the LFC Foundation when they sponsored a special penalty shoot-out on the pitch at Fenway Park.

At half-time during the Reds' second clash of their North American tour against AS Roma, three lucky supporters were invited by the car manufacturers to take a spot-kick against Liverpool reserve 'keeper Danny Ward.

Fans at Fenway were asked to 'Tweet their seat' and then a trio of winners were selected at random for the shoot-out before being presented with a Liverpool Warrior shirt signed by the squad on tour.

It was during the Reds' pre-season trip to North America that they announced they were entering into a four-year partnership agreement with Chevrolet to become its Official Automotive Partner.

The partnership will run to the end of the 2015-16 Barclays Premier League and European campaigns, and includes visibility for the brand at Anfield; editorial opportunities within the club's print and digital publications and fan sites; and player appearances for commercial opportunities.

LFC community officer Forbes Duff said: "We would like to thank Chevrolet for giving three fans the choice to get involved, take a penalty on the Fenway pitch and soak up the atmosphere at half-time.

"The money will be put to good use here at the LFC Foundation and we are very grateful to our partners for their kind donation."
