The Brendan Rodgers Barclays Premier League revolution kicks off this weekend as Liverpool FC travel to take on West Brom.

Liverpool FC are evens for an away victory with Paddy Power in online betting. West Brom are 11/4 to win at home and it's 12/5 for a draw.

In their last meeting, in April, West Brom claimed a 1-0 win at Anfield while Liverpool FC turned over the Baggies 2-0 at the Hawthorns before that.

The Anfield giants go into the new campaign in confident form, buoyed by the signings of Fabio Borini via Roma and 22-year-old Joe Allen from Rodgers' previous club, Swansea. That's not to mention the return from injury of Lucas Leiva in midfield.

"I have a sense of looking forward and hope. If you haven't got hope, you have no chance," says Rodgers.

As recent results show, Liverpool FC face a tough game against West Brom who are particularly strong up front with Romelu Lukaku, Peter Odemwingie and Shane Long the goal threats.

But in the 20 years of the Barclays Premier League, the Reds have lost only three of their first outings which compares favourably with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, but a habit of dropping points via the medium of the draw has been costly.

Liverpool FC's overall win rate of 50 per cent isn't bad, but might just have you thinking a win over West Brom at the Hawthorns is still a tricky assignment.

For Liverpool FC, the influential Luis Suarez is 5/1 in online betting with Paddy Power to be the first goalscorer. Suarez tormented FC Gomel in Liverpool FC's 3-0 Europa League play-off win at Anfield on August 10.

"Luis is an incredible player," says Rodgers. "He has come back to us and looked great in training."

Elsewhere, Joe Allen is 15/2 to be an anytime goalscorer against the Baggies while fellow new-boy Fabio Borini is 7/4 in the same market.

If you want to play it safe, a 1-1 draw won't please most Liverpool FC fans but it might keep your pocket full at 5/1.

A half-time score of 1-0 to Liverpool FC with a full-time result of 2-1 to the Reds is available at 25/1, although with more than 100 markets on the game you won't be spoilt for choice on the Barclays Premier League opening day with Paddy Power.
