Liverpool FC Ladies let a two goal lead slip as they lost 3-2 at home to Lincoln Ladies on Sunday afternoon.

In what was new manager Matt Beard's first home game in charge, Hannah Keryakoplis gave the ladies a big advantage when she hit two fine goals.

However, Lincoln are a side renowned for their fighting qualities and they stormed back with the winner coming six minutes from time.

A frustrated Beard said: "We had been working hard and when we were ahead I couldn't see any other result than the win so to lose was hard to take.

"We showed character and still created chances even when we were 3-2 down."

Liverpool FC Ladies next face Everton in the derby at Skelmersdale United FC on Wednesday night.
