Remember Neil Mellor's last-gasp, long-range winner against Arsenal at Anfield in 2004?

November marks the eighth year since Neil thumped home the 30-yard volley in front of the Kop - and he reveals just what it felt like in 'This Is Anfield', the matchday programme for Sunday's fixture.

"It was a special time," he recalls. "Arsenal were the best team in the country and only a few weeks before had come off that 49-game unbeaten run. We proved that we could match them and beat them.

"The game was entering a bit of a lull as the final whistle approached. I'd even asked Sol Campbell if I could swap shirts with him at the end of the match and he agreed. I was buzzing with that and strangely, it gave me a confidence to go and shoot. When it was all settled he walked off the pitch in disgust. I was too busy lapping it all up. I'm still waiting to receive his shirt!"
