London-based Reds fans will come together on Saturday evening for an action-packed night of entertainment to raise money for the building of a Hillsborough memorial in Liverpool city centre.

HJC London Rock will be hosted at the capital's 500-capacity William Blake pub and will feature four bands, a raffle, auction and speakers including Liverpudlian author and The Times' football editor Tony Evans and impressionist Darren Farley.

The event is being supported by both Kevin Sampson and former footballer and Hollywood actor Vinnie Jones, both of whom have donated items for the auction.

Other supporters include Walton MP Steve Rotheram, who won the Politics Home MP Speech of the Year 2011 for his speech preceding the Hillsborough debate in the House of Commons, and Scot Williams, who starred in Jimmy McGovern's dramatisation of the disaster.

There are a large contingent of Liverpool fans in the capital and it is hoped this event will give many an opportunity to come together and raise money for a worthwhile cause, with all money raised going to the fund for the memorial.

The evening starts with a screening of the Reds' 5.30pm kick-off against Sunderland and will run until midnight.

The event comes just days after the Independent Hillsborough Panel is due to report back after spending the last two and a half years studying official papers relating to the 1989 disaster.

Tickets for the event are priced at £15 (£10 for unemployed/OAP/students). Items available for raffle and auction include signed pictures, balls and shirts, a day shadowing Tony Evans at the Times newspaper and Vinnie Jones' Hollywood Allstars football shirt, on which he has written 'JFT96, Be Good, Vinnie Jones'.
