The Champions League and Europa League are returning this week - and Rodolfo Borrell's young charges are also back in European action also as they travel to Italy to take on the reigning NextGen Champions.
The Reds' youngsters will be hoping to go even better than their third-place finish last season but face stern competition in a group which includes Borussia Dortmund and Rosenberg, as well as Inter.
The Italians won the inaugural tournament last year, defeating Liverpool's conquerors Ajax on penalties in the final and resulting in manager Andrea Stramaccioni being given the job of head coach for the senior side.
Last year's campaign will provide invaluable experience for the young Reds, but with much of that side now ineligible or part of Brendan Rodgers' first-team squad this will be new test for much of Rodolfo Borrell's starlets.
