Brendan Rodgers will be testing the depth of his squad against Young Boys of Berne in Liverpool's opening Europa League group game in Switzerland on Thursday.

With Manchester United visiting Anfield in the Barclays Premier League on Sunday, Rodgers has decided to provide an opportunity for several younger players to impress, including Samed Yesil.

The 18-year old German striker has an excellent scoring record at youth level and he impressed for the U21s against Chelsea on Friday night.

He will be hoping to follow Raheem Sterling's example by taking his opportunity with both hands. Yesil is 6/1 to score the first goal and 21/10 to score anytime. Should he start on the bench then he can be backed at 6/1 to come on and score the last goal.

Adam Morgan has already made his first team bow and he could also play a part in this game. The Academy product is 7/1 to score first and 5/2 to score anytime.

Oussama Assaidi may also be in-line to make his debut. The signing from Herenveen is now eligible to play in the competition and having overcome a slight knock, is fit to play. Assaidi is 9/1 to score first.

Raheem Sterling has yet to score his first competitive goal but the 17-year-old has come close on a number of occasions and on current form he is certainly worth considering, especially at 10/3 to score anytime.

It has been 40 years since Liverpool lost against a Swiss side in European competition and if Rodgers's young team can maintain that record with either a win at 6/4 or a draw at 11/5 then LFC will be off to a positive start in their group.

A 2-1 Liverpool win is 17/2 with Paddy Power, but if you fancy the draw then 1-1 at 5/1 looks the most likely score-line.
