The statistics show how Steven Gerrard was one of Liverpool's most diligent and accurate players in the middle of the park.
Second only to his midfield partner Joe Allen (65), the skipper played 55 passes but with a higher accuracy of 94.5 per cent.
Only Paul Scholes boasted a higher pass completion rate than Gerrard out of those who played the full 90 minutes.
Combined, United and Liverpool midfielders fired 19 crosses into the opposition penalty areas but more than half of those (10) were delivered by the boot of Gerrard.
The Liverpool skipper had three efforts on goal, one of which resulted in his 46th minute opener and defensively he made four clearances and three interceptions.
Substitute Suso appeared comfortable when he took to the field for the second half in place of Fabio Borini and the stats reflect that; the 18-year-old played 22 passes with 100 per cent accuracy.
The stats also show how Glen Johnson was at the heart of the game's action defensively. The full-back made five tackles and seven clearances, both more than any other Liverpool player.
The England international also made three interceptions.
At the other end, Manchester United's defence were forced to clear their lines on a far more regular basis than the Reds'. Patrice Evra and Jonny Evans both made 10 clearances while Rio Ferdinand removed the danger on 12 occasions.
Robin van Persie and Javier Hernandez registered three shots on goal between them while Luis Suarez had seven efforts at Anders Lindegaard's goal. Four of those came from inside the penalty area and three were on target.
