Brendan Rodgers has selected a youthful side for tonight's Capital One Cup tie at West Brom – but how much do you know about our line-up? Here's Liverpoolfc.com's quick-fire guide...

Brad Jones: The Australian international stopper made his sixth Liverpool appearance against Young Boys in the Europa League last week. The 30-year-old was signed from Middlesbrough in 2010 and starred in the FA Cup semi-final against Everton at Wembley last season.

Jamie Carragher: With more than 700 appearances to his name, Jamie Carragher needs no introduction. The defender will draw on his vast experience to help his younger colleagues through tonight's tie.

Sebastian Coates: Signed from Nacional last summer after being named Young Player of the Tournament at the Copa America, Coates has made 14 first-team appearances for Liverpool.

Jack Robinson: Liverpool's youngest ever player, Robinson has made six appearances for the first team to date and is challenging hard for the left-back spot. The 19-year-old has scored two goals for the U21s so far this season.

Andre Wisdom: The powerful defender had a first-team debut to remember when he scored a superb header against Young Boys in the Europa League last week. The Leeds-born England U21 international shares the captaincy of the U21s with Conor Coady, and Liverpool supporters first saw the 19-year-old in a red shirt as a 15-year-old playing in the FA Youth Cup.

Nuri Sahin: Signed on a season-long loan from Real Madrid this summer, Sahin will make his third appearance for Liverpool at the Hawthorns.

Jordan Henderson: Henderson has made just five appearances for Liverpool so far this season, with only one of them coming in the Barclays Premier League. Brendan Rodgers has challenged the midfielder to use this game as a chance to show what he can do.

Stewart Downing: Stewart Downing will aim to catch the eye of Brendan Rodgers tonight having been left out of the squad for the weekend clash with Manchester United.

Oussama Assaidi: Following his energetic debut against Young Boys last week, summer signing Assaidi will be hoping to impress once more as he continues to build up match fitness.

Daniel Pacheco: The Spain U21 international arrived from Barcelona in 2007 and made his 15th appearance for the first team against Young Boys last week. After a loan spell back in his homeland with Rayo Vallecano last season, Pacheco is hoping to impress Brendan Rodgers this term.

Samed Yesil: The German U21 striker was on the bench for the first time against Young Boys, having made his Liverpool bow for the U21s in the 4-1 win v Chelsea the previous Friday. The 18-year-old was signed from Sami Hyypia's Bayer Leverkusen after making one senior appearance for the first team and is seen as a real talent for the future.

Subs:

Peter Gulacsi: Captain of Hungary U21s, the stopper was signed from MTK Hungaria in 2008 after a successful year-long loan at Anfield. He has yet to make his first-team bow but has made the bench on 35 occasions so far.

Jerome Sinclair: The England U17 international celebrated his 16th birthday the day after making his debut for Rodolfo Borrell's Academy side in the NextGen Series v Inter Milan in Italy last week. If he plays tonight, he will become Liverpool's youngest ever player. He made his debut for the U18s last season and has been scoring for fun at Academy and international level so far. After netting eight goals in pre-season, he has scored two so far for the U18s.

Stephen Sama: After impressing on the pre-season tour of North America, the Cameroon centre back could make his first appearance for the first-team at the Hawthorns. He is a German national and was signed from Borussia Dortmund in 2009.

Suso: After winning the U19 Euros with Spain in the summer, the talented Spaniard has made great strides so far this season. After making his debut in the starting XI against Young Boys, he came off the bench to make his Barclays Premier League bow against Manchester United and nearly scored with a fine effort at the Kop end. Jesus Fernandez Saez, to give him his full name, was signed from Cadiz CF in 2010 and is a dead-ball specialist.

Danny Wilson: The Scotland international was signed from Rangers in July 2010 and has made nine appearances for the first team to date, the last being against Exeter in last season's Carling Cup tie. The 20-year-old was on the bench for the Europa League tie against Young Boys last week.

Conor Coady: The England U19 international has yet to make a first-team appearance but he was in the squad that travelled to Switzerland last week. A very consistent performer for Rodolfo Borrell's U21 squad, the 19-year-old also shares the captaincy with Andre Wisdom.

Raheem Sterling: 17-year-old Sterling joined Liverpool in 2010 and made his first appearance for the club in March of this year. The winger was fast-tracked into the first team by Brendan Rodgers for the current season and impressed enough at the beginning of the campaign with his pace and dribbling ability to be called into the senior England squad.
