LFC Foundation has teamed-up with the People's Postcode Trust to develop a new Respect 4 All centre in Wirral.

Respect 4 All is a project pioneered by the Foundation which encourages young disabled people to broaden their horizons by taking part in sport and aims to ensure all local youngsters to enjoy and benefit from all that team sports has to offer.

Launched in September 2008, the programme provides free disability coaching four nights a week during school term-time at two centres in Aigburth and now, with the help of the People's Postcode Trust, the Wirral.

Gary Adlen, LFC Foundation's director, said: "Too many young people in Liverpool are going without access to facilities where they can engage in team sports.

"The partnership with the People's Postcode Trust has helped support a new programme in Wirral that enables local kids with disabilities to benefit from all that is great about team sports."

Clara Covier, head of charities at the People's Postcode Trust, added: "Football regardless of race, gender or ability, is a national passion and can break through all perceived barriers.

"The Respect 4 All project, while sport is at its core, also provides a chance for families to come together, make friends and support each other."
