Agger: I deserved bit of luck
Daniel Agger admits to feeling a sense of relief at avoiding a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury against Manchester United recently.
The Denmark defender was carried from the field in the closing stages of the Anfield clash 10 days ago and initially feared a stint on the treatment table.
However, scans confirmed the injury wasn't serious and Agger was able to complete the 90 minutes in Saturday's win at Norwich City.
"I feared the worst when it happened," he admitted.
"When I tried to get up the muscle in my knee just didn't work. I felt really unsteady and the medical staff thought I had done my ligaments.
"I thought it was a bad one and that I would be out for months. But, thankfully, it was just a really hard knock to the knee.
"I only started training again last Friday but I was fine for the Norwich game.
"I felt really comfortable and I'm enjoying it. I think I deserved a bit of luck after the problems I've had in the past."

Agger admits the 5-2 victory at Carrow Road - Liverpool's first Barclays Premier League win of the season - has given the squad a boost.
However, he acknowledges the Reds were disappointed to concede twice in a game they dominated from start to finish.
Agger said: "We've played well like that in a number of games but the difference last Saturday was that we got the goals.
"We could have had even more because we created a lot of chances but five was enough. The win was good for confidence and we needed the three points.
"The only disappointment was the goals we conceded. That's something we definitely have to work on.
"It's always easier to win games if you keep a clean sheet. Even when we're playing good attacking football we have to be able to keep the back closed."
Luis Suarez was instrumental in Saturday's victory, firing a second successive hat-trick at Carrow Road.
Agger added: "When Luis plays like that it's difficult to find the words to describe his performance. They were three great finishes and the quality he possesses is so good."
