Stoke fan and ESPN correspondent James Whittaker provides the view from the opposition ahead of Sunday's match at Anfield.

How's your form heading to Anfield?

Not too bad actually. We've just had our first win in months but the last few games following the transfer window saw us adopt a more positive approach/style, and our efforts have deserved more points than we've so far accrued.

How is Michael Owen adjusting to life with Stoke?

I think he is enjoying himself. We've seen fleeting appearances but he's being bedded in gently - the manager is keen to keep the pressure off him. I'm not sure how much of him we will see this season but just having him at the club can only be positive in terms of image and what he brings to the striking pool in day to day training.

Best way to beat Stoke?

The best way to beat us is to not accommodate us by changing things around. Rodgers's Swansea side didn't do well against us at all and he subbed off both wingers who, on the day, were the most threatening players to us. The style of play we struggle against is quick close interchanges/movement around the edge of the area, it's at that point where concentration for us is key.

Player we should worry about?

Crouch is in great form and given you haven't looked particularly assured at the back, he could cause you problems, especially from set plays. The one player who is catching the eye the most though is Steven N'Zonzi, he has been MOTM in every game he has played and his statistics are frightening.

Liverpool player you'd love to see playing at the Britannia every week?

The obvious one is Gerrard. There is a place in our set-up for a driving, hard working, goalscoring withdrawn forward and he fits the bill perfectly.

Supporting Stoke is great because...

We're all in it together. The chairman is a lifelong fan, the manager is bought into the city's culture and ethos and the players much the same. Everyone loves their club and I'm no exception but there is just something special about Stoke City and this is a great time to be a fan of a club going in the right direction in the right way.

If you were manager for the day, you would...

Not wear a baseball cap. Seriously speaking, I would just continue to encourage a more positive approach.

Song we might hear?

You'll always hear Delilah but hopefully there will be some songs for Shawcross, who is celebrating a long overdue call-up to the national side.

Score prediction?

It will be a tighter game than many will anticipate and despite you keeping most of the possession (though all in front of our back nine!) it will finish with a point a piece at 1-1.
