Assaidi: I'll give everything

Brendan Rodgers made the 24-year-old Moroccan international his third signing as Reds manager when he completed a switch from Eredivisie outfit Heerenveen in August this year.

And having made his debut in Switzerland against Young Boys and followed it up with a stand-out performance against West Brom in the Capital One Cup, the left-footer is now ready to force his way into the manager's plans.

"I didn't play a game for a long time but with every match I'm feeling fitter and stronger," he said. "My debut went well against Young Boys and then against West Brom it was great to play the pass for Nuri Sahin to score the winner.

"I'm very happy that the manager has given me some minutes and it's been a good start for me here.

"I have to keep impressing him and make sure that I show my qualities every time the coach picks me. I will give everything for the club.

"Everyone has made me feel very welcome and I want to be a success. The other competitions are very important as well but every player wants to be playing in the Premier League games.

"The fans here are brilliant and the atmosphere in the stadium is very special."

The winger knows he faces a tough challenge if he is to establish himself as a first-team regular at Anfield as the likes of Suso, Raheem Sterling, Fabio Borini and Stewart Downing are all competing for a position in the Reds' three-pronged attack.

However, Assaidi insist that rather than be overwhelmed by the fight for places, he is relishing the competition.

"We have a lot of quality here," Assaidi added. "That has been shown by the fact that, without the first XI,we have beaten teams like Young Boys and West Brom.

"I need to keep working hard and then whenever I get some minutes I'll try to do my best.

"How the coach wants to play here is the way I like to play as well. In Holland I also played 4-3-3 and I'm enjoying working with Brendan Rodgers."
