LFC backs Non-League Day 2012

Sky Sports commentator Martin Tyler, who is also first-team coach at Kingstonian in the Ryman League, is an ambassador for the event which will see hundreds of non-league clubs across the country kick-off at the usual time of 3pm on Saturday.

And in support of Non-League Day 2012, plenty of teams - including a number on Merseyside - are getting involved by offering cut-price tickets, holding community days, ground-hops and other innovative ways of sharing in the spirit of the one-off event.

Down the road from Anfield, AFC Liverpool are hosting Armthorpe Welfare and Bootle play host to Stockport Sports. 

At the home of Marine, all Liverpool, Everton and Tranmere Rovers supporters can get free entry to Saturday's match against Worksop Town on the production of a valid season ticket for this season at their respective clubs. 

Many local clubs involved are run solely by volunteers and so rely heavily on support from the community for their survival.
