LFC back Santa Dash record bid
For a second year running, Liverpool Football Club are supporting the RunLiverpool Santa Dash in partnership with ITV Text Santa as the city aims to reclaim the Santa Challenge Title from Las Vegas.
Organisers are hopeful that more than 13,000 people will take part in this year's event and, in the process, help Liverpool set the Guinness World Record for the 'Largest Santa Gathering' when the race takes place on December 2.
Reds legend Alan Kennedy has already confirmed that he will be running the race once again and he will be joined by Scouse boxer David Price, Olympic swimmer Steve Parry and a host of TV personalities.
On Sunday, at the marathon finish line on Mann Island next to the Port of Liverpool, Coronation Street's Kim Marsh will host an event media launch which will be filmed by ITV.
This year the run will be primarily supporting six national charities: Age UK, Anthony Nolan, Together for Short Lives, Whizz Kids, Marie Curie and Carers UK.
