Academy duo aid road campaign
Academy stars Brad Smith and Craig Roddan further showed the club's support for the 20 Effect campaign by presenting trophies and medals to children at the Thomas Feeney Football Tournament on Wednesday.
The tournament is an annual tradition held in memory of Thomas Feeney, who was tragically killed in a road traffic collision in 2001.
The tournament, now in its 10th year, will also bring to light the importance of road safety and help raise awareness of Liverpool's commitment to introducing 20mph speed limits in residential streets.
The 20 Effect is a city-wide speed reduction campaign that has been designed to influence behaviour change and raise awareness around the proposed 20mph speed limits on Liverpool's residential roads and the wider issues of road safety.
John Anderson, LFC community manager, said: "It is great to see the Academy players here to show the club's support for this initiative and help spread the message of road safety to the wider community, encouraging drivers to take more care in residential areas."
