Hillsborough song press call (VIDEO)
Kenny Dalglish joined Steve Rotheram MP and songwriter Guy Chambers at the launch of a Hillsborough charity single which is aiming to be Christmas No.1.
Former Take That singer Robbie Williams is just one of a host of names from the music industry who will collaborate to produce a cover of The Hollies' classic He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother.
The song was used as a poignant tribute to the 96 fans who died in the disaster by Everton at Goodison Park following the release of the Hillsborough Independent Panel's report.
Produced by Chambers, the new single will feature the likes of Paloma Faith, Mel C, Shane MacGowan, Mick Jones (The Clash), Peter Hooton (The Farm), Pete Wylie (The Justice Tonight Band) and Richard Hawley along with a number of other well-known musicians.
