'Why I'd give up best feeling'
Suso insists he'd be willing to go his entire career without scoring a goal for Liverpool if it meant success for the team – but admits finding the back of the net at Anfield would be the 'best thing ever'.
The 18-year-old is still waiting to hit the target for the Reds after breaking into the first team this season and notching seven appearances so far.
Nonetheless, while Suso acknowledges scoring against Newcastle this afternoon would be a landmark moment in his fledgling career, he's more concerned with the team's end result.
He told Liverpoolfc.com: "I haven't scored yet, but I would sign a contract now that said we would win every game but I wouldn't score.
"I don't care if I do score or not. If I do it is better, but what I care more about is us winning games.
"I don't know how I'd celebrate [if I did score]. Just to be playing at Anfield is amazing, so to score a goal there would be the best thing ever."
Newcastle arrive at Anfield on Sunday afternoon with Liverpool looking to bounce back from the Capital One Cup exit to Swansea City in midweek.
The Reds have had to contend with two games a week for much of the season so far - but Suso believes Brendan Rodgers and his backroom team are doing a fine job of ensuring the players remain fresh.
"There are a lot of games and we don't have too many players, but there are always young players in the reserves or players who are not getting a lot of minutes that can come in," he said.
"It is the boss who decides. He knows everything - how many minutes he has to give to each player, how he has to get the team ready for each game. We trust him to do the best for us.
"Every player wants to play every game. Me, I want to play every game, I want to start every game - but I am really young and there are so many good players who are working well and want to play as well."
Heading into the game, Newcastle occupy 10th place in the Barclays Premier League.
However, victory for Liverpool would see them leapfrog the Magpies and move into the top half of the table.
"They are a really good team - they showed that last season," said Suso. "They did a lot of good things and played good football.
"But we are Liverpool and we need to show every team we're going to be their most difficult game, so we will try to do that.
"Maybe they can be there at the top of the league, but we don't need to care about other teams. We just need to care about ourselves and try to get towards the top of the table."
