Enrique goes back to school
Jose Enrique delighted local children when he went back to school to take part in some Spanish lessons.
The Reds defender visited pupils at St Silas primary school in Toxteth and All Saints primary in Anfield.
On his visits he saw around 50 children from each school taking part in their language lessons and joined in with games before being quizzed by the pupils.
The Spaniard also took the time to sign autographs and pose for photographs much to the delight of the children.
Enrique told Liverpoolfc.com: "Their Spanish was really good, some of them were really clever, and of course these things for the kids are always really nice to do.
"They were very impressive and it is always nice to meet the young Liverpool fans."
Liverpool's No.3 left Spain in 2007 and he knows of the struggles that can come with learning a new language.
He added: "It is very difficult when you come from another country and you have to learn straight away because you have to understand people - it is hard."
Jayne Patten, Spanish tutor at St Silas, added: "The pupils have Spanish every week but to have a footballer come in and practice Spanish with them makes it really relevant and exciting for them.
"It really gives them an incentive to practice their Spanish because they have seen Jose Enrique come here and help them practice. It is a great boost for them."
