Stats show you can expect goals

Since the inception of the Premier League, Liverpool have won 17 and lost 12 of the 40 meetings home and away.

The Reds have won five of their 20 Premier League visits to Tottenham - losing 10 and drawing five.

Our last win at White Hart Lane came on the final day of the 2007-08 season when they won 2-0 with goals from Fernando Torres and Andriy Voronin.

Pepe Reina, Jamie Carragher, Martin Skrtel, Steven Gerrard and Lucas remain at Anfield from the team that day while only two Spurs players who played could face the Reds - Michael Dawson and Tom Huddlestone. 

Liverpool's biggest ever win at Tottenham came in December 1975 when they won 4-0, while their heaviest defeat at White Hart Lane came in April 1963 when they lost 7-2.

Only two Liverpool players have scored hat-tricks at Tottenham - Billy Liddell in 1951 and Roger Hunt in 1964. The last Reds treble against Spurs came from Phil Boersma at Anfield in 1974, while the last from Tottenham was courtesy of Jimmy Greaves who scored four in that 7-2 win in 1963.

The Reds have not scored in the last three meetings with Tottenham. They have never gone four.                

109 goals have been scored in the 40 Premier League meetings between the sides. Of the teams the Reds have faced in the top flight since 1992-93, only the Newcastle fixture (116) has produced more.

The Reds have scored in 10 of the last 12 games at White Hart Lane in all competitions.

Liverpool have scored more than once in only two of the last 14 visits in the Premier League.

Glen Johnson scored his last Liverpool league goal in London a year ago this month.

Daniel Agger could start a 12^th Premier League game in a row for the first time in his Reds career.

Pepe Reina has kept clean sheets in his last two league games. The last time he kept three in a row was last December.

Steven Gerrard made his Liverpool debut 14 years ago on Thursday against Blackburn Rovers.

Liverpool have not conceded a league goal in the second half of any of the last seven league games while they have only scored once themselves in the first half during the same period.

After conceding 12 goals in the first six league games of this season they have let in four in the last seven.

They are unbeaten in the last eight league games, recording three wins and five draws.

Liverpool's four league clean sheets this season have come in the last seven games.

Spurs have won the last four league meetings at White Hart Lane - they have never recorded five in a row against the Reds.

Tottenham have lost only one of the last six meetings. That came at Anfield in January 2010 when Dirk Kuyt scored both in a 2-0 win.

Andre Villas-Boas has lost both his games as a manager against Liverpool - in the league and League Cup with Chelsea last season, both at home.

Tottenham last Sunday, when defeating West Ham 3-1, became the fifth team to record 300 Premier League wins after Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.

They have won six of their seven league games this season at White Hart Lane, beating QPR, Aston Villa and West Ham. Their two defeats came at the hands of Chelsea (2-4) and Wigan (0-1).

Spurs have kept only one clean sheet in the league this season - that came in a 2-0 home win over Aston Villa in October. They have not kept a clean sheet in the last six Premier League games and only once in the last 10 in league and cup. Their last eight league games have seen them concede 16 goals.
