'Let's make bravery on the ball count'
Daniel Agger is delighted with the way Liverpool have controlled games this season - and the Dane attributed such dominance to the Reds' bravery in possession.
On Saturday afternoon he sealed a third home win of the 2012-13 Barclays Premier League campaign for Brendan Rodgers' men when he towered above the Southampton defence to power a header past Paolo Gazzaniga for 1-0.
But Agger insisted that if the team are to put together a strong sequence of victories in the coming weeks, they must to be even more clinical in front of goal and make their good work on the ball count.
"Confidence is a big thing here and we have it," he told the Liverpool Echo. "We are brave on the ball, we want to go forward. We aren't just playing it around.
"That's a big difference from last season. There is more control and we are creating more chances than last season.
"It's difficult to compare two seasons and I haven't seen the statistics but the feel when I'm on the pitch is that we are creating more chances.
"We have so many chances in every single game. It's a bit frustrating that we didn't score more but the most important thing is that we won.
"It's always a concern when you don't put teams away. We should have buried the game quicker.
"When it's only 1-0, the away team will always push, especially in the last 10 minutes. It's a danger but we kept a clean sheet and we're happy."
"The Tottenham game was one of the best games I've played in for a long, long time. We played them off the pitch and were really unlucky. We had to pick ourselves up after that and try to get three points.
"Even though we came away with no points at Tottenham, we came away with hope because of the way we played."
Only a suspension incurred in the opening game of the season away to West Brom has prevented the centre-back from featuring in every Barclays Premier League game for the Reds this season.
And he believes a new-found dedication to training, coupled with a new training plan, has allowed him to compete in an unprecedented run of games for the club.

"I always enjoy playing football. It's about being on the pitch, not outside it," he said. "The past year has been good for me.
"You learn all the time when you're playing football. I definitely do some different things now compared to a few years ago. I try to look after myself better and it's helping.
"It's about the way you train, the way you work in the gym, the way you recover - that's the most important thing.
"I've been helped by the team around me - the physios and the manager.
"They've been giving me the rest and the time to recover. It's always difficult in this league because there are so many games so you don't get much time to recover.
"You have to use that time you have to recover well."
