The week began with a stirring comeback victory for Liverpool at West Ham, where former Hammer Glen Johnson struck a wonder goal - but chose not to celebrate.

With Christmas getting closer, the Liverpool squad set off to Alder Hey hospital full of festive spirit for an afternoon with the children during the week.
"Just visited the Alder Hey Hospital. It is always nice to spend sometime with the kids," posted Lucas Leiva.
Midfield colleague Jonjo Shelvey echoed those thoughts, tweeting: "Great afternoon seeing the kids at alder hey hospital .. Absolute pleasure to put a smile on the kids faces. Real eye opener. Get well soon."
