Football clubs across the country will give their support to the Hillsborough charity single this weekend – with 'He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother' set to be played during half-time at many grounds.

Ahead of the single's launch on Monday, the vast majority of fans who attend a match in the days to come will hear the Justice Collective's song, which is aiming to raise money and could challenge for the Christmas No.1 spot.

All six Barclays Premier League fixtures on Saturday - including the Reds' clash with Aston Villa - will feature the Hollies cover during the break in play, as will various games in lower divisions.

The song features a selection of music's biggest artists including Melanie C, Rebecca Ferguson, Gerry Marsden, Sir Paul McCartney and Robbie Williams.

The physical edition of the single will be released on December 17, but the digital version is already available to be pre-ordered via iTunes, HMV, 7 Digital and Amazon.

You can also purchase the track by texting the word 'Justice' to 80010 from your mobile phone in the UK (£1 + standard network rate).

From the Republic of Ireland, text 'Justice' to 53600 if you would like to pre-order a copy (€1.50 + standard network rate).

All proceeds generated by the single will be contributed to the ongoing fight for justice on behalf of the 96 supporters who lost their lives at Hillsborough in 1989.
