'It will be cold and hostile'
Ahead of our trip to Stoke on Boxing Day, we get the lowdown on the Potters from fan and ESPN reporter James Whittaker.
How are Stoke fans feeling about our visit?
I think we're pretty optimistic. Our unbeaten run continues and our record at home is exceptional and that coupled with your indifferent form this season means the Britannia faithful will be hopeful of three points.
Who makes Stoke tick?
N'Zonzi is the cog in the middle that keeps the whole mechanism going. His composure and authority have made a big difference to our play this season.
Players on our side you'll be worried about?
Luis Suarez. He always plays well against us and his movement and trickery on the edge of our area is what I'll be fearing most.
Best way to beat Stoke?
Much as I have said above, we don't cope well with quick movement of player and ball on the edge of our area so our defence and midfield runners will have to stay sharp and focused.
Song/chant we're likely to hear?
Given the festive season you will hear the 'pints of bass' version of The 12 Days of Christmas; just listen out for FIVE PINTS OF BASS!
Anywhere away fans can get a drink and some food before the game?
I would steer clear of the town centre and the choices are limited around the ground but The Gardeners (next to the Michelin site) is a good bet as well as the Harvester next to the ground. You'll have to get there early if you want food, though.
Best and worst thing about a trip to the Britannia?
The best thing about a trip to the Brit is the atmosphere, it's a throwback to when grounds were loud, hostile places and on Boxing Day under the floodlights, it should be perfect. The worst thing is how cold it can get with the open corners so bring an extra jumper!
Prediction?
I'm going to be optimistic and go for a 2-1 win.
