'Why Cisse will have added incentive'
Assistant manager Colin Pascoe has warned against the threat of a QPR side that has been reorganised and revitalised by Harry Redknapp ahead of Liverpool's trip to Loftus Road on Sunday.
Redknapp took over the London club in November this year and his arrival inspired Rangers to three draws on the bounce before a memorable first win of the season came against Fulham in mid-December.
And despite a recent dip in form which saw them lose to both Newcastle and West Brom, Pascoe insists Redknapp's side are still thriving on the new manager's momentum and will prove difficult opposition at the weekend.
"QPR will be a threat because of their new manager," he told Liverpoolfc.com. "Any new manager coming in always gives the team a boost and given Harry's levels of man-management, I'm sure that they will pick up their form.
"He's a motivator. I've watched QPR over the season and they were a little unlucky when Mark Hughes was their manager. They were playing well but they just weren't converting chances.
"They have got a good squad there and I'm sure they will do well and they will improve."
One man who will be desperate to notch against Liverpool on Sunday is former Red Djibril Cisse, who has netted four times for QPR in all competitions so far this season.
The Frenchman has featured for Marseille, Sunderland, Panathinaikos and Lazio since departing Merseyside in 2006 and in January this year, he became Mark Hughes's fourth signing as QPR manager.
"Any player playing against his former club always has the incentive to do well," said Pascoe.
"They want to show what the other club is missing. Cisse's a big threat and we have to make sure that we stop the threat of his power and his abilities both in the air and on the ground.
"But with the way that QPR are playing at the moment under Harry - it won't just be Cisse, the whole team will be a threat."
