Liverpool registered 22 shots on Joe Hart's goal during the clash with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday – with half of those attempts being unleashed by the Reds' new striking combination.

Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez launched 11 strikes at the England No.1 between them yesterday, with the Uruguayan narrowly edging his colleague by six attempts to five.

The 23-year-old was the more accurate, though - two of his shots were on target and one whistled into the back of the net from distance to equalise for the Reds during the first half.

Indicating the influence he had on the match against his former club, Sturridge also completed the encounter with an impressive 87.9 per cent passing accuracy and set up a shot on goal for a teammate on three occasions.
