West Brom fan Ben Ruhrmund provides the view from the opposition ahead of Monday night's game, giving his opinions on Jamie Carragher, Brendan Rodgers and the Peter Odemwingie fiasco.

How's life under Steve Clarke?

If you had asked in December every Albion supporter would have said it has been great, we were playing entertaining football and were strong enough in defence to genuinely compete for a European place. He had built on what Roy Hodgson and Roberto Di Matteo had done. However, we have hit a serious dip in form and due to other factors (Odemwingie debacle) the tide may be turning. I personally find his honesty and integrity extremely refreshing, though, and am 100 per cent behind him.

You can get a result at Anfield because...

If we can withstand the first 20-30 minutes then we have enough quality to hurt you. If we go behind I think we may struggle. Beware over-confidence against us, though - this Albion side has heart.

How will your gaffer play it?

We are cagey but have a threat. Under Hodgson we were similar but now we seem a little less fearful against the so-called 'big boys'.

Who should we worry about?

We have Mulumbu back from the Africa Cup of Nations, which is massive, he is a player who often goes unnoticed by the boys on Match of the Day but our recent record reflects his value to us. Please don't try and poach him!

Odemwingie - discuss?

I would never question a man that would like to make twice the £££ with a new employer BUT the way that he has insulted the intelligence of WBA fans by dressing it up differently has been difficult to swallow. I can see how it is highly amusing to other fans, though - something tells me a certain advisor/agent may well be receiving a P45 (or should be).

Best way to beat West Brom?

Attack us. We are nervous and low on confidence. If you allow us to play we can maybe regain the quality that we showed early in the season but if you go at us, we are now struggling - even against the likes of Villa.

What have you made of Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers?

Improving, but that shouldn't be a surprise. You have one of the best players in the world in Suarez and the back-up of Gerrard etc. He wants to play in the right way and I think he will do a good job given time but the difficulty with a club the size of LFC is what success looks like when the Manchester clubs are doing so well.

The big news for us this week has been Jamie Carragher announcing he would retire at the end of the season. As a neutral, what have you made of his career?

Class, everything about the guy. It is rare I am so keen on anyone who hasn't played in blue and white stripes but you have to respect what he has done. He is the kind of player that fans love - cares about his performance, the supporters, his conduct and most importantly his team.

Where does Anfield rank amongst away trips?

I didn't manage to go to our victory last season but it is a ground that you want to go to for the atmosphere and hope that you can upset the locals. Liverpool is a great city. Could really do with more space in the concourse, though.

Prediction?

Honestly? 2-0, you are playing well, we are not. I don't expect a repeat of the comfortable victory we got on opening day. Had to drop that in...
