Two famous Liverpudlians lent their support to Standard Chartered's Seeing is Believing campaign on Monday night by taking to the Anfield turf at half-time and attempting penalties while blindfold.

Former Reds star Robbie Fowler joined comedian John Bishop during the break against West Bromwich Albion to raise awareness about the Seeing is Believing initiative.

Liverpool FC has backed the project, launched by main sponsor Standard Chartered to tackle avoidable blindness in developing countries, and players wore a special logo on their shirts for the Barclays Premier League clash.

Those jerseys will be signed by the first-team members involved and subsequently auctioned to aid the cause, which has already helped tens of millions of people worldwide.

Bishop and Fowler, who brought along son Jacob, tried to convert from 12 yards after being blindfolded and the moment was captured by photographers at Anfield.
